A Life of 'Shine
In December 2019, a narrative episode titled "A Life of 'Shine" was introduced, unfolding a tale within the virtual realm. The protagonist encounters "Lightning" Maggie Fike, a figure once at the helm of the moonshining enterprise in Lemoyne. Maggie's disappearance from the scene is attributed to a clash with revenue agents under the ruthless Reid Hixon. The plot thickens as Maggie persuades the player to fund her new venture and join forces in seeking revenge against Hixon.
The player intervenes to rescue Maggie's nephew Lem from the clutches of revenuers, attracting the attention of the financially distressed Braithwaite family. The Braithwaites, now delving into moonshining, enlist the services of Maggie's former cook, Danny-Lee Caton, to oversee production.Tensions escalate when the player disrupts the Braithwaites' moonshining operation, prompting threats of retaliation.
Simultaneously, Hixon becomes aware of Maggie's revived business and ambushes the player and Lem during a job. In a strategic move to confront both adversaries simultaneously, Maggie orchestrates a supposed peace meeting with the Braithwaites, while covertly tipping off Hixon. The meeting takes an unexpected turn as Hixon apprehends the player, Lem, and Danny-Lee. A daring escape ensues when Lem detonates an improvised bomb, utilizing the moonshine from his wagon.
With the assistance of Lem, the player eliminates Hixon and apprehends Danny-Lee, subsequently returning the latter to Maggie. In an act of mercy, Maggie permits Danny-Lee to depart on the condition that he vanishes forever. The narrative concludes with the player resuming moonshine production alongside Maggie and Lem, marking the resolution of the intricate storyline
