This means that players on Steam can engage in gameplay with counterparts on other platforms, including PlayStation and Xbox, while maintaining continuity in their game progress across all devices.

For those embarking on their Diablo 4 journey on Steam for the first time, a crucial step is linking the game to their Battle.net account to activate cross-platform play. Failing to do so will still permit gameplay on Steam, akin to other titles on the platform, complete with access to Steam achievements and the full functionality of the friends list.
